Returnable Packaging

We have launched a reusable packaging pilot with the innovative start-up Kvatt to reduce our reliance on single-use packaging.

Kvatt provides a circular packaging model designed with longevity in mind. Each bag is returnable and designed to withstand up to 10 uses.

We believe that circularity is a collaborative effort and this pilot is one of the small steps we are taking in our commitment to minimise waste.

How does it work?

When you arrive at the checkout, you may be given the option on selected items to choose Kvatt’s ‘returnable packaging’ for a charge of £3.99.

Your order will then be delivered in a returnable mailing bag. If you are happy with your purchase, please return the bag to Kvatt using the prepaid returns label.

The packaging will then make its way back to a sorting facility where it will be cleaned before being put back into circulation. The process repeats itself until the bag reaches the end of its useful life.

Not happy with your order?

If you need to return your order, please follow our usual returns procedure and send your item(s) back to TOAST in the Kvatt bag so we can use it again.

Please seal your parcel using tape or a label provided by your delivery carrier. Please do not use the Kvatt returns label provided to send items back to TOAST.

How do I return my bag to Kvatt?

Simply fold the bag and close the packaging by applying the prepaid returns label to the marked area. Drop your empty Kvatt bag into the nearest post box.

If you don't have a return label, you can download one by scanning the QR code printed on the packaging.

What is the lifespan of your sustainable packaging solutions?

Each bag is designed to be durable enough to withstand at least 10 uses, providing a much longer life span than single-use packaging.

What happens to the bags once they have reached the end of their life?

Kvatt has partnered with a third party to transform them into road cones.

How do you monitor and report on the carbon footprint of reusable packaging?

Kvatt traces the lifecycle of its packaging, from production to reuse, using software and analytics. This enables it to give accurate reporting on carbon emission data. We will provide regular updates on its progress.

What does the charge of £3.99 cover?

The full cost of this service is paid directly to Kvatt to cover the cost of managing returns logistics, and cleaning and refurbishing the packaging for reuse. Typically around 70% of customers purchasing Kvatt’s reusable packaging return the bag, so this cost also helps offset the 30% that do not.

Why can’t I choose returnable packaging on my order?

Unfortunately at this stage we cannot offer Kvatt returnable packaging with all our products. It is currently only available on clothing orders containing two garments or less. We hope to be able to extend the use of this service in the future.
