Early Autumn | TOAST Styling Conversations

Its good to see a range of heights and the use of non-professional models but as your size range caters for up to a generous 18 I would like to see a more size- representative range of women modelling the clothes. My personal belief is that it’s relatively easy to make clothes look good on small women but harder as women get larger. I speak as 14/16. It seems to me that women who work in fashion tend to be at the 6/8/10 end of the range.

Living nowhere near any of the Toast stores, and relying completely upon the catalogues (with frustratingly artsy photography), I really appreciate these videos and look forward to their release. However, I must agree with others who have commented about the lack of diversity in terms of the age and size of the models. Given the price point of Toast clothing, I would imagine that much of the customer base is not in the younger age bracket, and feel that the models used should reflect this.

All your models are shown wearing small sizes when in fact your clothes suit a whole range of sizes a d ages. I am size 14 and will be 77 next week and have worn your clothes for many years. Please use a wider range of models

Again I enjoy seeing the clothing on real models. I was in my local shop over the weekend and didn’t feel inspired by the clothes on the racks but on the models in the film I could see the possibilities for Toast pieces bought in past year or two. Keep going with these styling films they are useful.

I think this season’s clothing range is marvellous and I’d dearly love to swap out a lot of my wardrobe and replace it with all of these items. Such wearable pieces, gorgeous shades and beautiful details. I love them all. Your models are great and it’s really nice to see the clothing modelled by real – I liked hearing their comments too!

I love these videos – great styling tips. Thanks for including a shorter model, Jael, as this helps to see how clothes look on a shorter person – I’m 5ft 1”! My dream would be for toast to stock a petite range.

Really useful – feel more confident to experiment more with different pieces. Like that your models are real people who actually wear the clothes! Information on the height and size of the models also helpful. First film I’ve watched – looking forward to the next!

Enjoy these films but would like to see some larger size models too. Am 12/14 and want to see what the outfits would look like on me not just on slimmer women.

I so appreciate these films – I get so much styling inspiration from them and they give me confidence to experiment more with pattern and colour…

Shame you don’t see fit to use larger models. Your stores stock very little in the way of larger sizes which alienates many customers
